Coach
Sean Nevison. Sean has been involved with soccer his entire life, since being able to walk. His playing experience included a career at D1 Colgate University getting minutes as a Freshman and moving into starting roles as a Sophomore and beyond. At Colgate Sean also was able to play against his brother who attended Cornell during two seasons they overlapped. He played for 5 years at Hamilton Central School Varsity program including a State Championship and 4 Sectional Titles. He also played one season for The Hotchkiss School in CT. Sean played Club Soccer for Syracuse Blitz Magic winning 8 State Cup Championships, two Region 1 Final appearances losing to Tim Howard’s New Jersey Cosmos both times, an indoor National Club Runner Up as U14 in Atlanta and an Indoor National Club Championship U16 in Cleveland.
Sean has most recently Coached Le Moyne Womens Soccer from 2022-23, Coaches at Soccer Shots Syracuse receiving accolades this year as Fall Coach of the Season working in Cazenovia, Manlius, Fayetville, Camillus, Lysander and other private schools and day cares. He has also Volunteered at the AYSO program, started in 1984 by his father Chris Nevison who won an Ivy League Title with Dartmouth as a player and NY State Championship with the Hamilton Varsity Girls program, for the past 5 years. Since the age of 13 Sean has worked a variety of Soccer Camps and College ID Clinics over 30 years. Both of Sean’s children are excited to participate with Madison FC.

Ryan Hilliard joined the Colgate Women’s Soccer staff before the start of 2023 season.
Hilliard, prior to Colgate, spent time as the Director of Coaching for Centre Soccer Association in State College, Penn. While there he was responsible for developing training curriculums, educating coaches and overseeing the day to day operations of the club. The club strived for a commitment to education and individual player development for all players at various competitive levels. During this time frame, Hilliard was also a part of the East Region ODP Coaching Staff (2017-2020). This staff included other successful college and professional coaches and provided an opportunity to evaluate, coach and develop some of the top youth players from Maine to Virginia.

He holds a USSF C License and a United Soccer Coaches National Diploma. A two time graduate of Penn State University, Hilliard earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering in 2013 and a Masters of Engineering in Systems Engineering in 2017. He and his wife Haley live in Hamilton with their daughter Ellie and black lab Kona.

Welcome Cydney "Cyd" Scarano, coaching icon, to Madison County FC! With decades of experience, including varsity coaching and youth development, Cyd joins us to nurture young talents in the u8 age group. A Cortland State Hall of Famer, Cyd led teams to victory, including a national championship. Her remarkable coaching journey spans from New Hampshire to Cazenovia. While in New Hampshire she won a state title for Oyster River in 2007.  In 2015, in just her first year as the new varsity head coach at Portsmouth High School in NH, Cyd led her team all the way to the state championship game and was named Coach of the Year.  President Judson Ames expresses excitement for Cyd's role in building a soccer culture in Madison County. Her dedication to excellence continues to inspire the next generation of athletes.

Coach Emily LeBlanc

Soccer has been a lifelong passion for Coach LeBlanc, with roots firmly planted in Morrisville, NY. Their journey with the sport began in their youth, playing club soccer with Odyssey from 4th grade, and culminating with Rising Stars during their senior year.

Emily's collegiate career started at Herkimer County Community College before they transferred to Quincy University, a Division II program. During their college summers, they also gained valuable experience competing at the semi-professional level with Krajisnik FC.

Beyond playing, Coach LeBlanc has discovered a deep love for coaching. They recently served as the Junior Varsity coach for Fayetteville-Manlius this past fall and previously assisted Madison County FC in the spring. They are eager to continue their coaching development and make a positive impact on the players within the Madison County FC community.

Katelyn’s love for soccer began at the tender age 6. She continued to play through her college years for William Smith at the NCAA Division III level as a four-year starter. Her journey was marked by unforgettable memories such as competing in a DIII final match match, the intensity and dedication of the team, and playing for the NCAA’s distinguished soccer coach, Aliceann Wilber. She hopes to draw from her love of the game to inspire younger generations. Katelyn's commitment to fostering a love for soccer in her own family and the broader community reflects her belief in the sport's power to instill discipline, teamwork, and a lifelong passion for physical activity. Katelyn has two boys who will participate in the MCFC program.

Madison County FC is excited to announce the appointment of Dawn Hughes as  a new coach. Hughes brings a wealth of experience and passion to the role, having dedicated over two decades to coaching youth soccer.

A former collegiate soccer player at SUNY Oswego, Hughes has a deep understanding of the game and a proven track record of developing young talent. She has served as a coach at various levels, including CYSA, Cazenovia Middle School, and Cazenovia High School. Currently she serves as the Cazenovia Girls Varsity Assistant Coach. 

"We are thrilled to have Dawn join our team," said Judson Ames, President of Madison County FC. "Her commitment to player development and her enthusiasm for the sport make her an ideal fit for our organization."

Hughes is eager to contribute to the growth and success of Madison County FC. "I am honored to be named the new Head Coach," she said. "I look forward to working with the players and staff to build a strong and competitive team."

President: Judson Ames
Judson's passion for soccer led him to officiating high school and collegiate matches since 2011 and 2012, respectively, including Division 1 and Division 3 NCAA soccer matches. As a member of the Elite College Soccer Referee program, he brings a wealth of experience and genuine love for the game to the Madison County FC community. Judson has lived in Cazenovia since 2013 and will have one child participating in the program.

Vice President: Sean Trudell
Sean's passion for youth sports has been a lifelong journey. In high school, he excelled as a three-sport athlete, participating in football, basketball, and baseball. As a dedicated parent, Sean has also taken on coaching roles in all three sports.  
Recently, Sean has found joy in coaching U10 and U12 soccer in Hamilton. With two children set to join the MCFC program, Sean is excited to continue contributing to the growth and success of our club.


Secretary: Luke Korver
Luke is a 2003 graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications. Over the last 20 years, his work has taken him around the world directing and producing documentary and commercial content, airing on platforms such as ESPN, NBC, Fox Sports, HBO, and Apple. Along with a career filming sports content, Luke is an advisory board member of the 4 The Future Foundation, a non-profit aimed at promoting health and wellness while sharing the Native American roots and values of lacrosse. Luke and his wife Jaci have lived in Cazenovia for the last 11 years and have three kids who will participate in the MCFC program.

 Treasurer: Peter McClintock
Peter McClintock, hailing from Northern Ireland, Peter's passion for football (Peter insists we call the sport by its proper name) started on the pitches at the age of four chasing around his two older brothers . After high school, Peter showcased his football skills in the Mid Ulster football league. Peter is currently making waves in the world of medical diagnostics as a key player at BiosPacific, a leading company at the forefront of healthcare innovation. Peter has three boys who will participate in the MCFC program.
